This Gorgeous Day Spa in Finestrat Was So Dreamy, I Couldn’t Not Photograph It

I wasn’t there to work, I was just a guest. I was there with friends to celebrate one of their birthdays. A “girl’s spa day” for the birthday girl. But from the moment I stepped inside Mountain Retreat, I felt like I had walked into the “Zone of Zen.” The natural lighting, calming colors, sounds of running water from the pool, and thoughtful little details were just too beautiful not to photograph.
I do most of my photography with my iPhone these days, so of course, I came prepared. I go nowhere without my phone, and I’m so glad I had it. These photos weren’t part of a professional shoot. They were just a love note to a space that inspired me.
But as a travel photographer who works with hotels, cafes, and other dreamy spaces, this place reminded me why I love what I do: Sharing the most beautiful spaces I lay eyes on that make people want to be right there.
